Space saving tips from Allan Downes
"I've never shied away from a modelling challenge. 'I have no space' is not an excuse for not building a layout. I've long been a fan of building layouts on doors as they're extremely strong, light and guaranteed not to warp. I've modelled 'O' gauge layouts on these and managed to include all the buildings essential for a branch line, as well as buildings along the backscene. The only thing I don't have space for is a fiddleyard."
"The challenge this time was to build two layouts on a door, in 'O' gauge. Obviously I couldn't get two layouts in the same space, but could I make the buildings interchangeable and retain the same trackplan and scenery?"
