A seamless blend of fact and fiction
The Black Country was once described as "red by night and black by day", as furnaces lit the night sky and the smoke hid the sunlight during the day. The layout captures just a snapshot of the Earl of Dudley's Railway and although it is not area specific, it incorporates a number of key features.
Mike Bragg decided that his track plan was too simple to warrant DCC, so a Gaugemaster hand-held unit and a panel mounted ECM Compspeed controller operate the track on analogue. The points are controlled by Blue Point units.
