It’s easy to forget how far model railway technology has advanced - and how it continues to progress. A model made in the 1970s might seem overdue for a re-tool to 21st century standards. But what about one made in the 1990s? Surely that should still cut the mustard today?
Bachmann Branchline’s ‘OO’ gauge Thompson coaches were only released in 1991, but sadly they lag behind newer coaches, such as Bachmann’s own fabulous LMS ‘portholes’, and Hornby’s excellent range of LNER coaches.
